JLL Mid-Atlantic’s Christine Espenshade was recently honored as a winner for the March of Dimes Heroines of Washington Awards gala in the Real Estate category. This annual event recognizes local women across many industries for their unwavering dedication and outsized commitment to community service. In addition to Real Estate, the award honors women in many other fields, including healthcare and the public sector.
In addition to leading our Mid-Atlantic Multifamily Capital Markets team, Christine dedicates considerable time and effort to community service and philanthropic work, serving as a trustee at the Enoch Pratt Free Library and at the Walters Art Museum, both in Baltimore, Maryland. She also volunteers for the Princeton Alumni Association of Maryland and serves on the Capital Campaign Committee for The Calvert School. Consistently recognized as a trailblazer and one to watch in the commercial real estate industry, she devotes considerable time and effort to mentoring other women in the industry.
It is her role as co-founder of Pratt Contemporaries that makes her most proud. Pratt Contemporaries began as an effort to expand philanthropic activity focused on young people in Baltimore. The group engages the next generation of philanthropists who work to raise awareness of the Enoch Pratt Free Library and all of its services. Pratt Contemporaries has raised over one million dollars for child and teen literacy programs since its launch ten years ago. You can learn more about Pratt Contemporaries here and hear more about Christine’s personal experience in the video below:
Christine is a great example of what it means to achieve ambitions. We work hard and recognize that it can be difficult to balance professional and personal endeavors, but at JLL we encourage and support all of our employee as they work to realize their dreams, goals and passions outside of the office. We are immensely proud of Christine’s commitment to her communities – a full-time job in itself – and congratulate her for this well-deserved honor.
